Twelve particiants of the Acree Surname DNA Project, identified alphanumerically, have been tested. Their genetic profiles are viewable to participants at the DNA Ancestry website. Their paternal lines, excluding persons born after 1900, are shown below.
Nine of the participants, who descend from John Acree, Sr. of North Carolina and William Acree of Georgia, have matching Y-DNA test results. Another participant, who descends from William Acree of Kentucky, has different results, as do the two others.

OTHER LINEAGES
The undefined paternal lineage of another project participant, Acree005, whose test results do not closely match the others, will remain private at this time, as will the lineage of Acres007, a participant with the surname Acres living in England, whose test results are significantly different from the others and whose earliest-researched, 17th-century patrilineal ancestor is believed to have lived in the county of Norfolk.
