Earlier Acrees - A resident of England has been found to have a DNA profile that matches that of fourteen participants, but he has an entirely different surname.

Acree Surname DNA Project - now has sixteen tested participants, twelve of whom have matching Y-DNA results. The latest, a descendent of Jasper Newton Acree of KY, has unique results.

Acree Surname DNA Project - now has fifteen tested participants, twelve of whom have matching Y-DNA results. The latest, a descendent of Abraham Acree of VA, has been found to match descendants of William Acree of GA and John Acree, Sr. of NC, indicating that the three were probably brothers, as genealogical evidence suggests.

Acree Surname DNA Project - now has eleven tested participants. The latest, a descendent of William Acree of KY, has been found to be unrelated to the matching descendents of William Acree of GA and John Acree, Sr. of NC, indicating that two prolific Acree men, from completely different families, immigrated to colonial America, presumably from the British Isles.
